Security built on experience

As finance, technology, and crypto veterans we understand the importance of security.

We know firsthand what sophisticated digital fraud and theft look like because we employ Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) who have decades of experience solving some of the most difficult cyber crimes. Our veteran team experiences drove us to build Earnity with a security-first mindset.

We invest considerable resources in a highly experienced security team, industry leading security tools, and third-party assessments and penetration testing.

Secure communication with Earnity

All of our communication will happen via valid Earnity email or through the messaging service on our application. Our emails always come from our domain name, and never from any other email — even if very similar.

How to protect yourself from crypto scammers

The very first step in protecting yourself from crypto scams is to know what they look like.
Most scams can be easily identified by simply remembering the following three facts:

Earnity will NEVER

ask you for your password or 2FA code.

ask for remote access to your computer or phone.

ask you to transfer funds to another account — including crypto wallet addresses, bank accounts, or third-party apps.

Account Security

Once you fund your Earnity account or transfer crypto into your Earnity wallet, Two-factor authentication (2FA) utilizing an authenticator app is required to keep your Earnity account safe.

We check for strong passwords on account creation and password reset. All passwords are hashed when stored in our database.

Licenses & regulations

Earnity is licensed by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a Money Service Business. We are headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley.

We build relationships with U.S. regulators to understand the most current regulatory requirements for cryptocurrency and decentralized finance organizations.

Internal controls

We have a multiple signature (multi-sig) security setup, which requires many steps to transfer cryptocurrency out of our third party custody storage system.

We use industry-leading access management tools to actively monitor and audit all company-wide account access activity.

All employees undergo rigorous background checks and are subject to ongoing screening throughout their employment.

We maintain a security-first culture across our teams and proactively educate all of our employees on the latest security threats in our industry.

Verified community members

Before becoming active on Earnity, every community member goes through an in-depth identification verification process to ensure they are a real human being. We’re building a place where anyone can learn, together, and that means leaving the bots and fake accounts behind.

Our vendors are compliant with the industry standard PCI DSS guidelines to protect debit/credit card data.

Earnity engages one of the best penetration testing teams in the world to proactively identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.

We perform automated software testing before we publish all of our app updates.

Our team holds the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification and actively adheres to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
